The Things

Time for me to stop going to Sony stuff unless they're paying for it.

After a pretty-disappointing "launch party", which was actually just a big circle jerk to make the people who waited four days in line feel like they didn't waste their time -- no point for me or any of the other members of the media to be there, nothing to validate us being made to stand in the rain for a half hour while they tried to figure out how to run the check-in process; after that I came home to get into a pretty-disappointing car accident wherein a teenage-female driver pulled out of my lane and then suddenly back into it-- into me.

Police determined it was her fault, gave her a ticket ("I get a ticket because he sideswiped me?"), and sent me home with my funked-up car. Since it wasn't my fault, insurance is paying for everything so I'm more bothered by the inconvenience than anything else. Well, if whoever fixes it does a lousy job I'll be pretty annoyed.

Anyway, there's that. Regarding expensive game systems, I'm holding off on the PS3 until there's maybe one game for it that looks any good, and Nintendo is supposed to be sending me a Wii. Sometime.

Tomorrow I'm driving out to Somewhere, Maryland for the holiday thing.

Free hundred-dollar gaming consoles! Whoa...whoa. That's wicked.

Sorry about the "funked-up" car; that's never fun. Did the airbag go?
