Free Shipping For Soldiers

My 9v USB Charger Kit has been pretty popular with soldiers positioned overseas. They tell me that they're mostly all allowed to have their own iPods or other music devices, but that power outlets are few and far between where they're stationed in Iraq, Afghanistan, etc. Batteries, though, they always have plenty of, so the 9v charger is a perfect match.

Because I always support soldiers, regardless of whether I support a war, I'm now offering free shipping for APO or FPO addresses. That means that if your order is addressed to be sent to a military base address, free shipping.

Well, actually it's $0.01 shipping because setting the shipping cost at $0.00 makes my checkout system EXPLODE. When I worked at Circuit City back in high school, anything that was supposed to be free with a coupon or with the purchase of something else actually rung up as one cent for I assume the same reason. So, in the grand scale of things, one cent is free; but I'll call it one-cent shipping anyway (and not "FREE* SHIPPING" because asterisks scare people).

Shipping for US orders is typically a flat $5 regardless of the size of your order. This is to cover the postage and also to help pay for all the shipping supplies I keep in stock, and it also includes "handling" which is basically how I make money these days. I always felt like a real schnoz making money from soldiers fighting in the dirt all day, so I can't believe I didn't think of offering free* shipping before.

Goood, for them...

Brave fighting men...?

Well, to be fair, it's not their fault the war is wrong.

I feel some what guilty (Why should i feel guilty for not being zealotly patriotic?) now, in addition, complaining- but I'm hopeing/wondering when electroids will expand...I can't wait! That is, I hope it does.

My previous post was rather rude and arrogant. Here I stand as a rather lazy commenter, but, ah, right. I should take back a little of what I said. I do not support the war, but you're right, the troops should be supported in some sense. As humans. And you, you're doing it in the way you can, with 1 cent shipping.

With apologies,

Kin
